323 - DS19 in Monte Carlo Trim

The Citroen DS19 was first tooled by Corgi at the beginning of 1957 (as Corgi 210) and is notable for being the first ever non-British car in the Corgi range. It was updated in 1960, as Corgi 210S, given a moulded interior, a steering wheel and ‘Glidamatic’ suspension.

Five years later it was revived yet again, this time in a topical Monte Carlo livery. Available on its own or as part of the ‘GS 38’ gift set – together with a Mini Cooper and a Rover 2000 – it was produced for just one year, from 1965 to 1966. The Monte Carlo Rally version was given a pale blue body and a white roof, whereas the earlier Corgi 210S, which had identical tooling, came in red. Both featured the same yellow interior.

Love the cars hate the packging

I was so excited to receive my cars. I open the package and he boxes fr the cars are crushed all of them. Since this is for an older collector an not a kid I wanted the box to be as good as he car. I was disappointed I pay d for the shipping it should have been better packaged and I’m left with crushed boxes

Love it!

Beautiful job! It reminds me of my childhood in the South of France. My Dad used to love the Rallye Monte-Carlo! Looks good with the mini!
