I probably had this catalog or one a year or so earlier/later when I was a kid. I loved looking through it and remembering all the Corgi vehicles I wished for back then!
The original version of this, like the Corgi Model Club version, is a fun little car, but the real fun comes when you add the surfer dude and the fun colorful box. Buying a vintage version of this car, complete with surfer, boards and box, can get pretty spendy, but this reasonably priced version packs all the fun of the original. My collection is mostly vintage, with some Corgi Model Club additions, too. The Corgi Model Club versions fit right in with the vintage Corgi Toys.
Your delivery of my order came within the estimated time frame and the model itself was so accurate to the original that I consider my Corgi collection jewels. Highly recommended!
I’m in my 60’s and I revered and played with the original Corgi cars all through my childhood. The fit/finish of these reproductions is very reminiscent of the originals and I have been consistently amazed at the authenticity of each new model I’ve received.
