Batmobile with Batman and Robin - Gloss Black Edition (267)

$93.99

The Batmobile was introduced into the Corgi range after the popularity of the 1966 Batman TV series starring Adam West (as Batman) and Burt Ward (as Robin). With a wealth of features – notably a triple rocket launcher armed with small plastic missiles, a front-mounted pop-out chain cutter and a turbo exhaust flame that pulsed in and out – the model was an instant success and has since achieved legendary status among collectors.

This Corgi Model Club edition marks the first time the Corgi Batmobile has been in production for many years – a heavy die-cast metal replica of the iconic late-1960s tooling, with all of the original's features. We’ve also given it the much sought after gold wheels with red bat logos, plus Batman and Robin figures – Batman in grey as per the original issue. These details mean a lot to us here at the Corgi Model Club, as we’re sure they do to you too!

The Batmobile comes complete with its late 1960s-era packaging – a classic illustrated Corgi picture box that houses the model sitting on a plinth with decorative winged sides and back – a beautifully created facsimile of the original.  Within the base are twelve small missiles for the fully working rocket launcher, plus an envelope containing an instruction sheet as well as that all important Batman lapel sticker!

UPDATE

After receiving a very informative email from Rachel, at Corgi, I have upgraded my review. She succinctly explained the history and size proportions, which I completely misunderstood when I ordered. My bad. And I must admit, when I first opened the box my 6 year old eyes were observing, not my 66 year old eyes. Emotions of size raided my “6” year old brain.
Now that I am recovered I can tell you size no longer matters. The beauty of the piece does!! I am placing it next to my autographed picture of the original Batman & Robin, Adam West and Burt Ward, standing in front of the original TV show Batmobile!!!!!

Hi Martin,

We’re really sorry to hear that you've had reason to leave a negative review and we'd like to get this sorted for you.

We've just sent you an email to be able to assist you further - could you kindly also check your spam/junk folders just in case?
Here to help and look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
Corgi Model Club

Batmobile with Batman and Robin - Gloss Black Edition (267)

Glad someone was smart enough to bring these awesome models back into circulation. Ever since I was a kid I knew corgi models were unique based on their gadgetry - especially the Batmobile. Always wanted one, now after all these years I finally have one proudly on display with the rest of my Batmobile memorabilia.

In regards to the 007 Aston Martin DB5.
When are you going to remanufacture the version that has the rear wheel knock-off and the rotating license plate? I am waiting with bated breath for this version, and I guarantee that I’m not the only one. Please consider bringing this model back to life!
