This car stands out as a tribute to the history of the 1966 Batmobile in the various subtleties of its transformation to the beloved cultural enigma it represents. The fine paint application allows the details to "pop" differently than the show stopping gloss painted version, and is a testimony to the kinds of "cut above" details that Corgi has always represented! The offering of the Corgi "Batmobile" was an instant hit in the 1960's, with so much of the detail and excitement of this new television series from ABC captured so well! Now getting an even deeper glimpse into the appearance of the amazing crime fighting vehicle on the way to its preferred rendering we can hold in our own hands the muted paint effect, appreciating yet another part of the evolutionary changes along the way!
Corgi's use of modern tooling and cast forming, presents us with the return of the cape crusaders ride with flawless detail in a matt black finish. Gone are the rough edges and cast lines of the originals that 4.2 million of us loved, nevertheless. The long awaited re-birth of the the first iteration of the 267 Batmobile, is a jewel to behold!
Great reproduction . My late brother and I wore out several Batmobiles in the late 1960’s . One of my favorite childhood toys just as I remember it . Great job Corgi !
