The Batmobile was introduced into the Corgi range after the popularity of the 1966 Batman TV series starring Adam West (as Batman) and Burt Ward (as Robin). With a wealth of features – notably a triple rocket launcher armed with small plastic missiles, a front-mounted pop-out chain cutter and a turbo exhaust flame that pulsed in and out – the model was an instant success and has since achieved legendary status among collectors.

This Corgi Model Club edition marks the first time the Corgi Batmobile has been in production for many years – a heavy die-cast metal replica of the iconic late-1960s tooling, with all of the original's features. We’ve also given it the much sought after gold wheels with red bat logos, plus Batman and Robin figures – Batman in grey as per the original issue. These details mean a lot to us here at the Corgi Model Club, as we’re sure they do to you too!

The Batmobile comes complete with its late 1960s-era packaging – a classic illustrated Corgi picture box that houses the model sitting on a plinth with decorative winged sides and back – a beautifully created facsimile of the original. Within the base are twelve small missiles for the fully working rocket launcher, plus an envelope containing an instruction sheet as well as that all important Batman lapel sticker!

Batmobile 66

Thank you for recreating my childhood memory everything intact with this 66 BATCAR... IT TOOK ME ALMOST 60 YRS to get a hold of this.. you see 60 years my local toy store which was not Toys r Us back then we had an independent toy store they sold toys and this is one item that I could never get a hold of because they all be sold out not this time thank you 👍🏻

Quality Batmobile but terrible shipping experience

The Batmobile is definitely cool. It's heavy for its size and the quality was better than I was expecting. The presentation box has a great design and is just fun to look at. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the shipping mess. I honestly can't say if the fault was with Corgi or USPS. The item was shipped across country to my city and condominium only to be sent back to sender due to "incomplete address". I gave them my correct and full address so, either Corgie made a typo, the shipping label got damaged during transit or the mail carrier simply didnt want to walk the package to my door because it didnt fit in my mailbox. I guess I'll never know why it took 3 weeks to receive. [ If you order one for a gift or yourself, which I recommend, order in as much advance as possible just in case this happens to you. Also, pay attention to the size and dimensions before you order like I did. I knew the size of the batmobile was small but it truly is a work of art *my opinion. I'll probably order something else from them but I'll make sure to order expecting delays.

Spectacular

Thank you, Corgi, for releasing this spectacular reproduction of your Barris Batmobile. I was fortunate to have received the Batman triple set (Batmobile, Batboat, Batcopter) as a kid, and all three received plenty of wear. How sweet it is to have a brand-new version of one of the greatest toys ever produced. Bravo!

Batmobile

Gloss black Batmobile just like the one I had as a kid. My mom donated mine to the Salvation Army when I was a teenager, so I’ve wanted a replacement for quite a while. It’s just like I remember and I’m so happy that Corgi Model Club USA decided to re-release the Batmobile. I bought the Bat Boat as well. Thank you Corgi!!!
