This is a stunning reproduction in every way. I almost started weeping by the time I got to the car itself — and when I saw Robin slightly askew in his seat *exactly* the way he was when I was five years old that was too much. I was given more than one of these, and the Batboat set too, and Robin was always falling out.
Many of the Corgis I had as a kid are in the club’s catalog, and I wish I could buy them all right now. I cannot wait to see next month’s silver Aston Martin, which I also had, with the 007 sticker under my good coat’s lapel, just as Corgi suggested.
Probably my favourite diecast model, and my collection is not small! The cost of a good original Corgi was daunting, and I didn't think that I could adequately restore an affordable rough one, so when I saw that the Model Club offered a new Ecurie Ecosse transporter, I did not think for one second before ordering one. So happy with it, and I will keep an eye on future releases; hoping for a purple Sting Ray with wire wheels and rotating jewelled headlamps!
