Renowned for being Corgi’s first licensed product, this popular model was created to tie in with the ‘Saint’ TV show featuring future James Bond, Roger Moore. The P.1800 model had been first issued by Corgi in 1961, as number 228. Originally available in either red, beige or salmon pink, it was deleted in 1965 to make way for this new version.

With white paintwork to match the car seen on TV, a detailed red interior, the iconic ‘Saint’ logo on the bonnet and a miniature Simon Templar at the wheel – the character Roger Moore played in the show – it was an instant success. Nearly 1,160,000 were sold before it was deleted from the range in 1970. Later versions differed with a red ‘Saint’ bonnet sticker.

This Second Edition now has the Paramount Pictures licensing line on the box.

Really glad to have picked this car up!

It’s a really nice remake of the Saint car from Roger Moore’s tenure as the Saint, which goes really nicely with my collection of James Bond Corgi Cars (now I just need to get my hands on his car from the Persuaders!)

Very satisfied

The car and box arrived in perfect shape. They packed it brilliantly which insured it would arrive in one piece. The only issue (which has nothing to do with the great quality of the car) is the tracking of the package which was pretty frustrating. I was sent a tracking number that didn’t work and had to reach out to customer service for another which didn’t work. Customer service did reply promptly generally the next day and did try to help. Overall five stars and I’ll be purchasing from them again.

I picked up this version of this iconic car to complete my set with the Series 1 edition, as well as my original one from back in the 1960s, when I was a kid. Very nice, and I prefer this version of the hood decal.
