325 - Ford Mustang Fastback 2 + 2 Competition Model

$39.99

Based on the slightly earlier ‘non-competition’ CorgiFord Mustang, number 320, which was launched in April 1965, this new motor racing version was in the shops just in time for Christmas. Both models were given a host of features such as opening doors and tilting seats – all very innovative for the time. With a sleek white body and twin red bonnet stripes, this new racing model sensibly omitted the previous version’s small plastic corgi dog on the parcel shelf.

Eagle-eyed enthusiasts will also have noted that the tiny AA badge on the rear of the older model was deleted for this new version – a laudable attention to detail that goes a long way to explaining Corgi’s enduring popularity.

Was very excited to give these as Christmas presents.
Shipping took 19 days. So they will be gifted as New Year presents.

Unable to get 10% discount or any discount on vehicles, even though it is my first order and I spent over $140. Very pleasant woman who answered phone said she would try to get discount. Becky from customer service sent an email indicating that the offer had expired.

Corvette is fine. Quality feel and look.

Mustang sits high and rear tires rub, seem too large. Headlights are dull yellow.

Porsche had no internal wrap in box, engine cover rattles, does not sit tight on body. Coloring and wheels/tires are fine.

I love the car and the box. It’s great to be able to get these new, my only disappointment is they are not made in Great Britain. I bought a few originals on EBay and from what I can tell these are spot on
