Another great addition to my collection
This is another Corgi that I still have 60+ years after my grandmother gave it to me, so I was able to compare the Model Club model with my original (albeit playworn) version. When I saw the first photos of the model I thought the color was too bright, but it turned out to be a close match (the age of my original has dulled the finish somewhat). The working fold-down rear seat is exactly like the original, as is the tailgate. It's nice to have luggage on the roof rack since my original passengers lost theirs many years ago. What makes this reproduction better than the original is the printed-on "Wildlife Preservation" graphic on the hood. That was always part of the model's appeal to me and it goes well with the model's color. As you can see in the photos, the original is printed on a sticker with obvious edges of the film visible, so the printed-on graphic is a big improvement.
This reproduction is a high fidelity recreation of the original, and in some respects even better quality; the paint finish stands out in particular as better. Keep up the good work!
