My husband recently told me his absolute favorite show from his childhood was Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and he used to have a model car with movable parts. I found your model to give to him for Christmas and he was so surprised and HAPPY! The box was a little mangled from shipping but everything was protected and intact, and it arrived just in time. It brought back good memories for him. Thank you!! It was perfect!
I like Corgi die cast and the different models that they have but I don’t like the extra charge for imports. Maybe they can explain it better.
Nostalgia is the key here to obtain the Batmobile that was one of the few gifts I remember growing up. Key differences to my memory were that the battering ram and front antenna button were brass/gold colored versus metallic grey and that the boat hitch was also gold and extended from the exhaust shrouding. Is my memory at fault? Still this reissue does provide some joy and recollection and the new method of pulling the board with the plastic add on is better but sure to have been lost if it was implemented in the original design. Fascinating.
